What Motivates You Everyday

How To Be Motivated; Determination and Commitment keys to Motivation
A Quote By A.P.J.Abdul Kalam

This is a discussion article. I pose this question to my faithful readers. What motivates you to wake up in the morning, dress up and go to work? What motivates you as a student to rush to school and study your books? What motivates you as a university or college student to study for your examinations? What motivates you to apply for a job?  What motivates you to earn a living? What motivates you to strive on with life? What motivates you to do what you do? What motivates people to be religious? What motivates you to eat? What motivates people to make friends? Etc

I know I can't stop asking all these questions, because I can't cover up the reasons why people are motivated. If I am to get it from my readers, I will be sure that the answers will be diverse as there are different factors that motivate people like pay, prestige, making a difference, making money etc. The reasons are numerous. What motivates you can also inspire you as an individual. Imagine going for an interview and we are asked what motivates you? Definitely the interviewer wants to know what makes us tick. What are the things that define our lives? This is to gain an insight into out personality and to gauge if we can fit into their organization.

"Desire is the key to motivation, but its determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek." Mario Andretti

The importance of motivation cannot be over emphasized. There are two key words that go side by side with motivation. They are determination and commitment. Motivation drives determination. Commitment is the desire to pursue a goal. Without these driving factors motivation is not complete. Determination can be defined as a firm purpose or will to carry out an endeavor. Even if there are obstacles on the way, the strong will to succeed will push us to the finish line. Life is not a bed of roses. Temptation, trials and tribulations will rear their ugly head but if we are determined and are committed to the cause. Then we can finish the race. I still pose the question to you today what motivates you?
